About Foundation Problems
Look for cracks in walls (especially diagonal cracks near doors and windows), sticking doors, uneven floors, gaps between walls and ceilings, and water in the basement. If you are seeing two or more of these signs, it is worth having a professional assessment. Learn more about signs →
The most common causes in BC include soft or compressible soils, fill conditions, moisture changes, tree root activity, lateral soil pressure, and seismic forces. The cause shapes the recommended solution. Learn more about causes →
In most cases, yes. Foundation problems are progressive — the forces that caused the initial movement typically continue. Early intervention usually means a smaller and less expensive repair.
Yes. If a home is built on compressible soil, fill material, or in an area with a high water table, settlement can begin within the first few years.
About Solutions
We install Ram Jack® helical piles, push piers, and carbon fiber wall reinforcement. The right product depends on your foundation type, soil conditions, and the nature of the problem. Compare solutions →
Steel shafts with helical plates that are screwed into the ground to reach stable soil. They provide permanent support for settling foundations and are especially effective for lighter structures and limited-access sites. Learn more →
Interlocking steel tubes driven deep into the ground using the building's weight as resistance. They reach bedrock or stable soil and are ideal for heavier structures and foundation lifting. Learn more →
High-strength carbon fiber straps bonded to basement walls to stop bowing and cracking. Installed entirely from the inside with no excavation required. Learn more →
Yes. It is common to combine systems when a foundation has multiple issues — for example, push piers on a settling wall and carbon fiber on a bowing wall.
About Costs and Financing
Cost varies based on the number of piers, depth required, site conditions, and the system used. We provide transparent pricing in every proposal after the free assessment. Learn more about costs →

In most cases, standard homeowner insurance does not cover settlement caused by soil conditions. Some policies may cover sudden events. Contact your insurance provider to discuss your specific situation.
About the Process
We visit your property, inspect the foundation inside and out, identify the cause and extent of the problem, and provide a written proposal with the recommended solution and transparent pricing. It takes 30 to 60 minutes and costs nothing. Book an assessment →
Most residential projects take up to 2 weeks. Commercial projects vary based on scope and phasing. All project duration is dependent on scope of work, site conditions, etc.
No. Most homeowners stay in their home throughout the project. There will be some noise from equipment and localized excavation, but it is manageable.
We backfill and restore all work areas, provide complete project documentation, and issue warranty paperwork. If landscaping or concrete was disturbed, we restore it as part of the project.
About Warranties
Your foundation is protected by two warranties: a lifetime manufacturer's warranty from Ram Jack® on the pier products and a 20-year installation warranty from Ossum on the workmanship. Learn more about our guarantee →
Yes. Both warranties transfer to the new property owner at no cost.
No required maintenance on the pier systems. We recommend maintaining proper drainage and grading around your foundation for overall foundation health.
